The SLW-54C uses five coordinated servo drives to control the weaving process. This patented five-axis linkage design supports synchronized movement and consistent mesh and twist formation.
A XINJE PLC and HMI control system provides a touchscreen interface for parameter adjustment and production monitoring. Twist length can be set between 40 and 70 mm through the HMI, while available twist options include 3 twists, 5 twists, and long and short twist patterns.
The machine accommodates typical mesh sizes of 60 × 80 mm, 80 × 100 mm and 100 × 120 mm. Mesh size changeover combines digital adjustment with tooling matched to the target mesh specification.
Easier mesh size changeover: An optimized adjustment arrangement helps manufacturers switch between mesh specifications. Required tooling, including matching plates and related components, is selected according to the target mesh size.
Consistent weaving performance: Coordinated servo motion supports repeatable mesh openings and twist formation, helping maintain product consistency during continuous production.
Simpler maintenance: The drive arrangement reduces reliance on traditional large gears, cams and associated mechanical transmission components. Fewer mechanical linkages and wear points make routine maintenance more convenient.
Flexible production management: In-house developed software can be customized for operating logic, interface languages and reporting requirements. Remote diagnosis and maintenance support can assist with troubleshooting and help reduce downtime.
The machine produces gabion mesh for fabrication into baskets, mattresses and related mesh structures used in civil engineering and environmental projects.

Actual output depends on wire characteristics, mesh specification, process settings and site conditions. Maximum listed capabilities should be confirmed for the required production configuration.
The machine forms hexagonal gabion mesh by feeding wire into the weaving mechanism and twisting adjacent wires together in a controlled sequence.
The PLC coordinates the five servo drives so that wire positioning, twisting and mesh advancement follow the programmed cycle. Repeated twisting and feeding progressively create a continuous mesh structure.
The HMI allows operators to adjust supported process parameters. Producing a different mesh opening also requires the appropriate tooling and mechanical setup for that specification.
Production begins with wire preparation and verification of the required mesh specification. Wire feeding and tension are then arranged to suit the weaving setup.
Where required by the selected configuration, the CNC spring making machine prepares spiral wires for the weaving process. The main machine forms the gabion mesh, which is subsequently collected for rolling or further processing.
Depending on the finished product, downstream operations may include cutting, edge finishing, bending and packing. The available production line equipment includes a five-roller unit, CNC spring making machine, CNC gabion mesh machine, CNC bending machine, CNC shrinking and rolling machine, CNC mesh cutting machine and CNC wire straightening machine.
The final equipment combination is selected according to the required product and factory workflow.
Prepare the machine: Check the wire supply, lubrication, tooling, guards and work area before starting.
Confirm the specification: Fit the tooling required for the target mesh size and check the wire threading and feeding arrangement.
Set production parameters: Enter the applicable settings through the HMI, including twist length and the selected twist pattern.
Run a trial: Use the prescribed setup procedure to produce a sample. Inspect mesh openings, twist formation, width and wire feeding before continuous production.
Monitor production: Observe mesh quality, wire supply, take-up condition and any alarms throughout operation.
Stop and maintain: Follow the machine’s shutdown procedure, clean the work area and perform maintenance according to the supplied manual.
Operators should receive training and follow the supplied operating manual for threading, adjustment, production and maintenance.
Keep hands, clothing and tools clear of moving weaving, feeding and take-up components. Stop the machine and isolate its power before changing tooling, clearing trapped wire or carrying out mechanical maintenance.
Use wire and tooling suitable for the intended mesh specification. Do not assume that digital settings alone can complete every mesh size changeover.
Check lubrication, fasteners, tooling condition and electrical connections at the intervals specified in the maintenance manual. If abnormal noise, vibration, repeated wire breakage or inconsistent mesh appears, stop production and identify the cause before restarting.
